Orton Community Pub

The George Hotel in Orton has been put up for sale by the current owners Marston’s Inns.

As an essential part of the village of Orton a committee has been set up to look into the possibility of the community purchasing the pub should a private buyer not come forward.

There is no intention to make an offer at this time, instead the committee will be focussing on assessing the condition of the pub, the realistic value of the pub and therefore how much would need to be raised from the community in order that this could be taken forward.
